Cancer is one of the fatal diseases in history humankind. In this regard, cancer immunotherapeutic strategies have revolutionized traditional mode treatment. Silica based nano-platforms been extensively applied nanomedicine including immunotherapy. Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) and mesoporous organosilica (MON) are attractive candidates due to ease controlling structural parameters as needed for targeted applications. Especially, MON provide an additional advantage composition modulating biological functions actively synergize with other strategies. review, applications MSN, MON, metal-doped MSN/MON field immunotherapy tumor microenvironment regulation comprehensively summarized by highlighting compositional attributes silica-based nanoplatforms.
